We’re excited to share more about one of our newest outreach partners: Team IMPACT. This organization offers a life-changing program for children facing serious illness and disability by matching them with collegiate sports teams. Through the power of teamwork, kids and student-athletes accept, motivate and inspire one another. It’s a mutually beneficial experience for the children, their families, and the teams who are all empowered to bond, grow and win — together.
Who they are
Team IMPACT is a 501 c3 dedicated to providing aid and support to children facing challenging medical circumstances. Their mission is ensure that kids develop socially and never feel alone while facing a serious illness and disability. This organization’s team is made up of passionate and experienced individuals who are committed to making the world a better place, one person at a time.
What they do
Healthy children can often find opportunities to socialize through their family, school or larger community. For children living with a serious illness or disability, these systems can be strained. Team IMPACT provides a safe, supportive and encouraging environment for a child and their family to connect with a college athletic team and local campus community.
We will make an impact TOGETHER
A partnership with Team IMPACT and the USLI community will inspire change in ways that is influential in children’s lives and those around them. Soon, we hope to bring the children, families, sports teams and coaches together for a celebratory event at USLI. Furthermore, the USLI community plans to fundraise to send additional support to Team IMPACT for their ongoing initiatives and growth.
