Going Back to School Isn’t Just for the Kids

As the summer begins to wind down and the back-to-school rush begins, it feels as if we enter a new cycle. During this time of year, as you’re getting your children ready for the next step in their education, why not push yourself to further your education as well? After all, kids should not be the only ones going back to school!

The concept of upskilling has gained traction recently with the expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) in every industry. Simply put, upskilling — learning additional skills — expands or develops one’s capabilities to help them meet the needs of their company, industry or community. And we need more companies to encourage it: A June 2018 study by the Association for Talent Development (ATD) cites that 44% of organizations are not providing upskilling opportunities.
