Fundamentals First On Demand Coming Soon
A 2017 study directed by Training magazine found that companies spent over $90 billion on training; this was a 32.5 percent increase year-over-year. A total of 125,338 companies were a part of the study, which averaged out to about $76,000 a year spent on training or maintaining their employee needs.
If you are like most small to mid-size businesses, you do not have $76,000 a year that you could allocate to a training budget. Instead, businesses are focusing on getting their people up and running then getting back to selling the goods or services that their customers need.
For over 10 years, USLI has offered a two-week intensive insurance training program on our main campus in Wayne, Pennsylvania, three times a year called Fundamentals First. Our program was created with your newer people (three to six months of insurance experience) in mind. With topics ranging from basic insurance concepts, sales and marketing strategies to business and presentation skills, we aim to educate your new professionals on the fundamentals. With more than a thousand program attendees to date, we’re proud of the impact we’ve been able to make in your offices.
While Fundamentals First is still offered and always at capacity shortly after being released, we realized that we needed to scale the program for those of you who are unable to travel for two weeks or do not have the funds to support the costs incurred when traveling to get the training that you need. With that being said, we wanted to recreate portions of the in-person Fundamentals First experience and adapt it for those who are unable to attend our two-week programs.
We’re excited to let you know that, coming soon, USLI University will offer Fundamentals First On Demand. This online version of our in-person program will enable customers to view carefully designed content whenever and wherever your schedule allows! You will be able to participate in engaging courses, such as General Liability, Commercial Property, Professional Lines, Selling Insurance Over the Phone, Effective Presentation Skills and so much more.
Fundamentals First On Demand will be a great training tool for you to utilize for your new hires because you can incorporate the coursework into his or her training plan. Even if you have someone who has been in the industry a little longer, our program can serve as a refresher. We can’t wait to release this value-added offering to you and hear how it’s being received in your offices!
