Boost Your Happiness While Addressing the Holiday Hazards

With the holiday season upon us and in the spirit of giving back, nonprofits see a surge in volunteers every year between Thanksgiving and the new year. People cherish the time they get to spend with their loved ones and recognize the importance of giving back to those less fortunate. After all, the best gifts often aren’t material ones, and giving back is one of the top ways to spread holiday cheer.

So what is it about the holiday season that creates the urge to donate, volunteer and spread joy? The common thread is happiness. Studies show that volunteerism has been known to not only increase the happiness of those who receive, but also boost happiness levels in those who give. It’s no surprise, then, that holiday cheer helps to motivate the masses to get out and volunteer.

While charities, foundations and business associations embrace the extra hands on deck, it’s important to recognize the additional exposures they face as they put on multiple fundraising events, seeing an increase in both volunteers and foot traffic. In addition to a comprehensive package policy at a cost affordable to these small groups, we’ve enhanced our blanket special events coverage to include:

  • First 3 events with up to 250 attendees are included at no charge
  • Ability to offer general liability on a blanket event basis including host liquor up to 2,500 attendees
  • Ability to offer general liability on a blanket event basis including commercial liquor up to 2,500 attendees – coming soon
